The Blue F-250

Old blue the farm truck has turned out to be very useful. Its a 1987 F-250 with an International Harvester 6.9 liter indirect injection diesel, Banks Turbo, manual hubs, very little rust, a good interior, and a tight suspension. It also has a nice tool box, Reese 5th Wheel hitch, electric trailer brake controler, and a receiver hitch so we are set up for hauling.

Its just a truck, nothing fancy and I like that.

It has the turning radius of the Queen Mary but rides extremely well.

No dents or body damage, just some rust in the front fenderwell. I am using it as a true farm truck and have a job lined up logging a couple acres on a neighboring farm so it will get some heavy use.

I also have the 5th wheel tail gate but this one is very heavy, much heavier than the 2500HD GMCs.

It has the exhaust gas temp, turbo boost and oil pressure guages for the turbo and the interior is in good shape.

Captains chairs and a manual transfer case..plus the stereo works (but no AC).

Rose likes to ride in the back seat....hope mom and dad will!!

The turbo really adds some power. I think without the turbo it wouldnt be able to get out of its own way but it does fine cruising along at 60-65 on the freeway but doesnt like it much faster. This truck is a tank and we have already used the heck out of it. When I got it inspected (Missouri requires a vehicle safety inspection before it can be tagged) the inspector offered to buy it.

Thanks Steve and Jenn
